What this site is
Watt Math publishes analysis of publicly available Texas electricity plan information. It is provided for general information. It is not advice about your particular circumstances, and it is not a solicitation to buy any plan.
Accuracy
Electricity rates in Texas change daily, and retailers may change or withdraw a plan at any time. Every figure here is stamped with the date it was captured. A figure that was correct on its capture date may be wrong today. Before you enroll in anything, read that plan's current Electricity Facts Label, which is the document the retailer is legally bound by. Where our analysis and a current EFL disagree, the EFL governs.
Not a retail electric provider or broker
Watt Math does not sell electricity, does not enroll customers, and is not licensed by the Public Utility Commission of Texas as a retail electric provider, aggregator or broker. Enrollment happens on a third party's site under that party's terms.
Third-party links
We link to retailers' sites, to powertochoose.org, and to comparison partners from whom we may earn a commission — see how we're paid. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, pricing or conduct.
Liability
This site is provided as is. We make no warranty that the information is complete, current or fit for any purpose, and we are not liable for any loss arising from a decision made in reliance on it. Nothing here limits any right you have under Texas law that cannot be limited by agreement.
