What you're actually buying
Take TXU's own plain plan, Simple Rate 12 at 16.50¢, and pull the delivery charge out of it using Oncor's published tariff:

So of the 16.50¢ you pay, only 10.27¢ is TXU's to discount. The other 6.23¢ is Oncor's, and Oncor does not run promotions. That is the ceiling on how much a free‑nights credit can ever be worth — and TXU charges 1.70¢ per kWh above its own plain rate for it.
